2). Video/Work
These are a handful of short form work samples. There are additional short form videos on my vimeo.com/kirstenstudio page.

This trailer was done for a short created off the video footage and still imagery gathered during Heather Metcalfe’s trip to Afghanistan for Artfully Unforgotten. The organization raises awareness and funds for vulnerable communities. The video short screens at various venues in conjunction with the sale of a book of the same title.
Another Afghan locale but totally different organization, this promotional was cut for IAM who has institutes, workshops and clinics in Afghanistan. The video is also on their site at www.aim-afghanistan.org.
I cut this little two minute video for a recording studio in New York. The owner of this place is a really interesting guy and would make a great documentary subject himself.

This is a promotional for a non-profit in South Dakota. While I worked as a freelancer for a documentary film company, they asked me to cut this industrial for a company that allowed them to shoot at their offices.

I worked on these barkers while assisting at a post house in mid-town.

The AICE’s National Trailer Park contest challenges Assistant Editors to edit a :30, :45 or :90 second trailer for one of the 15 films (AICE provides a different selection of films each year) and switch genres. In their 2006 contest, I received Honorable Mention for my submission. I had terrific, above and beyond mentorship from the video editor Scott Gorman and the sound engineer Pete Barrett.
